Foundation Center Cooperating Collection
Calvert Library is a Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center in New York City, the nation’s leading authority on philanthropy. As a Cooperating Collection the library has a current print collection of materials on grantmakers and guides to proposal writing, as well as free in-house access to two Foundation Center databases.
Databases:
• Foundation Directory Online Professional – online database with information on more than 92,000 foundations, corporate donors and grantmaking public charities, and more than a million recent grants. Accessible only at Calvert Library Prince Frederick.
• Grants to Individuals Online – search more than 6,500 foundation and public charity programs that fund students, artists, researchers and other individual grantseekers. Accessible only at Calvert Library Prince Frederick.
Staff will assist you in learning to use Foundation Center print resources or the databases at Calvert Library Prince Frederick. Free foundation and grants workshops are also offered—check the Library Events Calendar.
