
Knock out those wintertime blahs with a warm concert!


Local country artist Courtlyn Carr comes back home to play for her hometown friends and fans. A graduate of prestigious Berklee College of Music, she has now moved to Nashville, Tennessee where she has been playing hotspots like the famous Blue Bird Café, and sharing the stage with hit songwriters and artists like Lorrie Morgan, Ty Herndon and Linda Davis. She made a visit home to open for Martina McBride at the Calvert Marine Museum. Listen.

The Electric Brigade (EB) is the Navy’s premier popular music ensemble and the U.S. Naval Academy’s musical ambassadors to the nation. Made of up enlisted sailors EB provides entertainment for formal occasions, pep rallies and everything in between. Since forming in 1979 Electric Brigade has performed as far north as Iceland all the way down to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Expect all ages to be tapping their feet while the group shows off their repertoire of modern pop, classic rock, country, disco, swing, hip-hop, soul and more.

Emmy nominated singer/songwriter ellen cherry is a full-time touring and working performer based in Baltimore, MD. She has licensed her music to the Oxygen Network, MTV, and Soap.net. In 2009, she wrote, recorded and performed a TV campaign for FOX Networks and also composed the score for a shadow puppet piece entitled "Alonzo's Lullaby", which has been awarded the prestigious UNIMA Citation of Excellence. She has been awarded Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Awards for Vocal Performance (2007) and Music Composition (2009) and founded her own studio and label, Wrong Size Shoes, in 2004.
Recording continuously since 1997, her most recent album, (New) Years, crosses genres, artfully displaying her talents in folk, pop, jazz, and instrumental music. ellen cherry mesmerizes her audience with her powerful voice and uses her keen, on-the-fly sense of humor to weave history, storytelling, and melody together. The Calvert Brass Consortium is a brass ensemble that performs a wide variety of brass music – from show tunes to classical works, patriotic songs to jazz, and sacred music to rock. The wide diversity of music in the group’s repertoire has led to the adoption of the slogan “Your Town Band”. The Consortium is a non-profit group, and makes appearances at various community and local school events. The members of the group are as varied as the music they play. Counted among the members are the professions of student, educator, machinist, and federal employees.

The 2-4-U Band is an energetic husband and wife team performing oldies, rock-n-roll, swing, and classic country hits. The 2-4-U band hails from Calvert County and has been performing for the past 20 years. Bring your dancing shoes because we are clearing space and expecting a Macarena and more!
